How Nuar Works

Don't take our word for it. Here's what people are saying.

"In our house, we are both working parents so time is precious. So sometimes, dinner is going to have to be whatever is easiest. Knowing the ingredients mean I can throw anything together and don't feel guilty."

🥦🥦🥦🥦 🥦

"If like me you're not able to grow your own food, local farmers are the next best option. Food from a friend, a neighbor, a local farmer and/or your own garden are all great ways to break away from big Ag."

Giulia C.

🥦🥦🥦🥦🥦

"Good food in our community is a privilege we don't take lightly. Hearing the stories behind it reminds me of how much thought goes into what we get to eat. It makes my heart happy."

Daniel K.

🥦🥦🥦🥦 🥦

"Epic meat. Beef grass fed and finished on the farm. Chicken that tastes like it should and raised for the animal's health and yours. Eggs from pasture—you can even see them. An experience like no other."

"Everyone is feeling the squeeze on their pockets at the moment but you can make significant savings on your weekly shop and still get quality food."

"We're pretty serious cooks and eaters but we don't have the budget for high end options. This is a very interesting way to avoid tourist meals and still find something creative, interesting and good while visiting a new place."

People ask.

Why we built Nuar

Today, supermarkets tell you what to eat. A carefully engineered mix of convenience, price, and variety keeps you coming back every single time. On the surface, it feels completely fine.

But there are trade-offs. Convenience depends on food that can survive weeks in a truck. Low prices only work with high yields—often at the cost of nutrients, taste, and fair pay. "Variety" means perfect-looking, plastic-tasting tomatoes in December. You trade your money for food that's just fine simply because it's there.

Nuar is here to even out the playing field. To give you the option to tap into your local food. To discover food from the smallest producers. To know the people who grow and make what you eat. We're here to give you back the choice—and the control—of what and how you eat.
